Netherfield Community Centre Project
The aim of our project is to ensure long run financial sustainability for St George’s Centre and Loco Youth Centre. These facilities are currently owned and managed by The Netherfield Forum as a non-profit social project. It is a purpose built community access centre in the heart of Netherfield and is host to a wide range of activities, including training courses, IT classes, advice surgeries and fitness sessions. Within the centre is the Shunter’s Café, which offers a variety of freshly prepared meals and snacks. The Centre has rooms to hire for a number of purposes which is their main source of income.
The Community Centre is currently struggling to uphold a steady income stream and use their facilities efficiently. In addition, despite the effort devoted to the Centre by the staff members, the level of satisfaction among them is decreasing.
