The Silver Surfing project, inspired by the previously carried out SIFE initiative, aims to help senior citizens in the Nottingham area cope with modern technology. The project team indents to familiarise them with the complexity of using the Internet and online banking systems needed to perform simple transactions and checking account balances. The project plans to further extend the computer literacy programme by adding online shopping and fraud prevention to it.
